Light up the Village at Shirlington takes place on November 29^th, 6:30-8:30 pm beginning with the village Christmas tree lighting, an annual event that draws hundreds from the surrounding area to the center of The Village at Shirlington.

·         Carolyn Cole, the star of Signature Theater’s Hairspray, will make an appearance to kick off the tree-lighting ceremony while carolers provide a merry backdrop to the tree lighting with holiday songs. 

·         Families are invited to take photos with Shirlington’s Santa Claus and participate in activities for children.  Horse-drawn carriage rides through the village will also be available.

·         Attendees can donate non-perishable food items to benefit the Arlington Food Assistance Center.

·         Shirlington’s stores and restaurants will host open houses throughout the evening with holiday treats and drinks.

Shirlington SantaCon 2011 - Saturday, December 10, 2011

Shirlington SantaCon 2011 will be a day of festive holiday celebration followed by a night of well-mannered frivolity in the Village of Shirlington.

Everyone should come dressed as Santa Claus (or Mrs. Claus) and party like its the North Pole. Santa's will begin roaming the streets of Shirlington Village starting at 11:00 AM.
