The Curious Grape's Suzanne McGrath Talks Champagne & Port THIS Sun (Jun 12, 11 am) On WTOP's "Foodie & The Beast"!

Want to learn more about Champagne and Port? While these might not be your go-to drinks for DC's sultry summer weather, maybe they should be! Crisp and zesty, Champagne is arguably just the thing to cool you down -- while simultaneously staring a party -- during the warm summer months. And some Ports, like the often over-looked White Port, chilled down Tawnies, and Port cocktails provide a welcome, sophisticated change of pace as an aperitif.

Want to learn more?

Tune in THIS Sunday, June 12 to WTOP at 11 am as Curious Grape President and Certified Wine Educator Suzanne McGrath chats with Nycci and David Nellis, aka Foodie and The Beast! Recently appointed the Washington DC Ambassador for Champagne and Port by the Center For Wine Origins, Suzanne is all about spreading the word on these unique, authentic wines in our area this year. You'll learn about the Center's role in promoting and protecting some of the world's most important wines, while picking up tips on Champagne and Port, including how to tell one style from the other, how to serve them, how long they last before and after opening, what to pair them with, and more! Radio never tasted so good! Don't miss it!

Celebrate a community gathering, celebrate the promotion of a heathy workout, celebrate the union of friends and neighbors, and celebrate the club which brought it all together. We can't believe it but we've made it 2 years! Two whole years, 104 weeks of getting together with our closest friends and neighbors. So again you ask what are we celebrating, we celebrate you!

Please join us this Tuesday for our second anniversary. Our first birthday bash was a night to remember! If you asked someone what the highlight was from last year's bash they may tell you about the amazing prizes and awards, they may tell you about the enormous attendance, they may tell you about all the sponsor giveaways or they may tell you about the incredible thunderstorm which turn off all of downtown Shirlington!

Okay, here it is, what you need to know:

Every year we take a group picture, this year we ask you to wear your brightest colors possible. We are going to be one gigantic beach party at Bungalow!
