MTV is in Shirlington Village

MTV is back in Shirlington Village filming "True Life: I'm Allergic to Everything" (a documentary series) at Busboys and Poets.  The first filming was on December 23, 2010.

Are you constantly wiping your eyes, blowing your nose and using your inhaler to no avail? Do you have to carefully monitor what you eat to make sure you don't have a severe allergic reaction, breakout in hives or stop breathing? If you've been to Paris, then you know that they're famous for their flea markets.  The most famous flea market in Paris is the one at Porte de Clignancourt, officially called Les Puces de Saint-Ouen, but known to everyone as Les Puces (The Fleas).  We've just completed our move to our new location down the street and while rummaging through our attic, we've uncovered lots of hidden treasures that we simply don't have room for in our new shop.  So we thought what better time to host a flea market? This weekend in our original location in the Village at Shirlington (4150 Campbell Avenue), we'll be hosting our first of many weekend flea markets.  If you're in the neighborhood, drop by and see us Saturday or Sunday from 11am-5pm.  From furniture pieces to French linens to beaded chandeliers, there'll be something for everyone.

Samuel Beckett's Opens Saturday January 8th

The day has arrived!!! Samuel Beckett's will open at 3:00 pm this Saturday January 8th. They will only have a restricted food menu. Please be patient with them as they smooth out the bumps for the first week. Samuel Beckett's looks forward to providing everyone with a memorable experience.


Menu and Hours...SB's will open 7 days a week from 11 am to 2 am. Their first week of operation they will not be open for lunch/brunch so that they can get up to speed. Their website should be up this week with menus and more!
